The return of Neil Hannon’s Divine Comedy with their new single 'Diva Lady' on the 12th June!
Expectations are high about the forthcoming new material from Neil Hannon’s The Divine Comedy. It's been two years since the band released the critically acclaimed album, 'Absent Friends'. It was widely regarded as a brilliant return to form that saw him work with producer Nigel Godrich and long-time collaborator Joby Talbot.
Neil has since been incredibly busy: he has written songs for musical legends Jane Birkin and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and even created the theme tune for Channel 4’s successful comedy series, The IT Crowd.
The Divine Comedy have been previewing their ninth studio album, 'Victory For The Comic Muse', with a UK and European tour, but the first track to be taken from it is the classy piano-driven pop single, ‘Diva Lady’ showcasing his lyrical quirkiness and unique voice.
The single arrives on 12th June and is available on 2 track CD, enhanced maxi CD featuring the hilariously brilliant new video and 7" vinyl with a collectable poster insert. A Special Edition format of the album will also be released at the same time which will feature a bonus DVD of a "making of" documentary for 'Victory For The Comic Muse'.
